Lee Pacchia

Managing Director

  • Crisis Management
  • Stakeholder Communications
  • Chapter 11
  • Turnarounds

Lee works at the point where financial distress becomes a stakeholder problem, having spent over 20 years guiding organizations through a range of special situations.

He advises companies, sponsors, and boards on the underlying financial and operational choices in a distressed situation — liquidity and cash forecasting, restructuring alternatives, and operating plan validation — as well as on what lenders, customers, vendors, employees, courts, and the press will conclude from each decision, and on how to sequence communication so that operating and financial execution is not undermined by avoidable noise. His experience spans retail and consumer, media, energy, technology, telecommunications, health care, higher education, and professional services, and includes several of the most high-profile private credit distress events of recent years.

Lee previously worked at Bloomberg, where he designed and launched the multimedia channel for Bloomberg Law and created and hosted several of its programs. He produces and hosts Unordinary Course, the podcast of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Business Reorganization Committee, where he serves as Special Projects Leader. He most recently served as a Managing Director at ICR, where he led the Turnaround, Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice, and began his career as a law clerk to the Hon. Raymond T.
